Plus and Minus

The assignment was pretty easy. I really liked the pictures that I took because the exposure looked cool, it was from light to dark. It made the pictures look different from other pictures. And I also worked on them with photoshop. I had them in a weird order, but I liked it.

I like this picture because the reflection is amazing. The water and the boats look very relaxing to be in. And the pictures he takes are about nature, and I really like nature pictures. Nature pictures look very pretty.

Gwenn takes pictures of people in Africa. He captures pictures of their everyday life. I think looking at the pictures is pretty interesting to see. It just shows how they live over there and its informative.

Cat & Mouse

It was kind of funny when we had to step in different directions and turn back and look at each other again. It was complicated when we had to give the directions at first, but they got the hang of it eventually. I,am pretty sure the person got awkward eventually and just wanted to leave. But it still went pretty good, and the pictures came out pretty cool too.

This picture shows children tossing pieces of paper that contain their personal troubles into a fire during Hope House summer program for youth with imprison fathers. I feel like this is really inspirational for a lot of people, including me. Burning their troubles is a great idea to kind of get a chance to forget about whats going on in life, and all the problems they've been facing.

This picture is really calm and dark. It looks like a scary movie scene, like the end of the road. But it looks really cool because the water reflects on the trees, and it makes it look like a circle. It looks very tumblr, I like pictures like that. And I love when it rains and when it looks dark outside.

I really like this photograph because it looks so mysterious. It kind of looks vintage, but I dont know what it is exactly. I saw a couple pictures similar like this, like zoomed in, but I just picked this one because its black and white, I think it makes it look better when its b&w. Its hard to know what it is when its dark, it looks like a more mysterious picture.

100 Shots Photo Experience

Monday, we took 20 pictures of  whatever we wanted. My friend wanted to take pictures  of the school, so we went outside. My other friend and I were really cold so we went back inside and waited for her. She didnt take that long, but she still took really awesome pictures.
When she came back inside, my other friend wanted to go to the cafeteria. When we were there, she wanted to leave, so we did. And instead she took pictures of the vending machine. The camera was taking the pictures all blurry, but in my opinion they looked very cool.
Then it was my turn. And I decided to take pictures of somebody, so I saw a friend and she let me take pictures of her. I took pictures of different angles, but at first they kept coming out blurry. But my friend fixed it and they looked better.

I really think this portrait is really cool. Especially because I think Shakira is really beautiful, and the hair flip makes it look 10x better. The background is all gray so it just focuses on her. I like how the light is just shining on the right of her face, and the left is just dark. Her blonde hair makes it stand out more because of the light that's hitting it.

I really like this picture because its hilarious to look at. I love how the dog has a wig and its carrying the puppy. And the dogs face is so serious which makes it funnier. The human hands are perfect to put on the picture because the dog looks like a human wearing the wig and the hands just give it the perfect touch. This picture makes me like really happy. The dog just looks like a old lady carrying the puppy with her nappy hair.

I think these pictures are so adorable. I absolutely love knew born babys. Thats why I chose so many, I could,t decide which one to put on my blog, so I just put all of them. I really think Anne is doing such a creative thing with these baby pictures. She has an imagination of how to arrange the babys, and how to dress them in such an adorable way.

Photo Experience Shot In The Dark

So when we went to go to take pictures, we went outside because we thought there was more things we could capture. Like not even being five minutes yet, first lunch people were starting to come out. So I decided to take pictures of them passing by. I wasn't looking at the camera, I was just pointing the camera of what I thought I was taking pictures of. And I took a bunch of them, but when I saw the pictures, half of them were of the sky. I thought I was taking pictures of the people, but I wasn't. But I still have some pretty good pictures overall.

I like this picture because she just looks so happy doing her make-up. I guess she's just excited about going out, she looks pretty fancy but goofy at the same time. Maybe she's going out to a Halloween party or something.
I do my make-up and she kind of reminds me of me, and everybody else who does their make-up too. Because when you're putting mascara, you open your mouth for some reason, and also when you do your bottom eyeliner, like she's doing, you open your mouth as well.

I find this picture kind of interesting because I have no idea what it is. Thats the thing, I like not knowing what it is because its way cooler like that. It makes you think of what it could be, and all these ideas just pop in your head of what the picture could be. It keeps you wondering what the object is. If  I know what it is, I dont think I would find it that interesting anymore.

Photo Experience - Reflections Assignment

When I went out to take pictures, I didn't really know what to take pictures of. But I just took a picture of whatever really. We came back to class pretty early because we didnt exactly have anymore ideas of what to take pictures of. The next day I chose the one that I thought was okay, and I was working on it in photoshop the whole class period.
At first I didnt know what to do to the picture, but then I was messing with the adjustments. I had a different exposure. And thats how I kept it.

I started smoking when I was young, about 8 years old. My uncle gave me my first cigarette ever, and it was the Marlboro brand. I didnt really enjoy it because I kept choking really bad. But afterwards I started to like it and I did it more often.
I loved getting high. It let me escape the world. I forgot every problem that I had. For instance, my father, always drunk, hitting me all the time till I bled. My mother, she sells herself, gone all the time, sleeping with strangers instead of coming home. My father, he's used to it, doesnt do anything about it anymore since my mother gets the money and he doesnt. So she's basically maintaining him, providing for him, so he keeps his mouth closed. So he takes his anger off of me.
Whenever my mother's gone and my father is passed out, I leave the house. I go to my uncle's house and stay there for days and my parents dont even find out. He smokes a lot, and he says that they help him relax and stay chill.
My parents dont  like me going there, they think he's to stuck up and he always tells them that they need to be more responsible of me. But they dont care anyways.

He's like a father, and a mother to me. I tell him my problems and how I feel. I told him that I couldnt do it anymore. 

One day I went to his house and started crying when I got there. I had blood all over me and I just couldnt stay with my parents anymore. He was telling me to calm down and rest. I couldnt, I hated my life so much I wanted to kill myself. But I didnt.

I like this picture because I like how Marilyn looks. I like Marilyn personally so thats why I cose this picture. But I also like how the background is just one thing, its a big pile of leaves and that focuses more on the main thing, which is Marilyn. But it looks cool because hers spaghetti shirt is black and her skin looks super white so the colors kinda bounces off. Like the thing that catches your eye is her arm because its so white. And the spaghetti shirt also bounces off because of how black it is.

I like this picture because the girls look very sassy. They look like they're 4 or 5, so its kinda funny looking at them posing all sassy. And their faces are all serious like if they're professional models or something. 

And the doll that the girl with glasses has, I used to have one. I dont know i thought it was funny for some reason.

I was feeling a bit down in this particular day when I woke up in the morning. I didnt want to feel this way, so I decided to go for a walk. I first ate and got dressed. It was cold outside so I had to wear a jacket and a knitted hat. 

I made my way to the street here in New York. There was a lot of people, like always, but I kept walking. I was on my way to get a coffee in a cheap cafe, because I was still cold. I was still feeling a bit blue, but then I saw something that made me really happy.

I saw this great, magical, beautiful thing. I was by the door of the cafe, and I saw a poster that was on the door. That changed my mood completely, the poster said that there was free coffee! FREE COFFEE! AHHHHH!

I feel like this photo is goofy and weird. The guy is naked and he is wearing a hat which is weird to put on a hat it your naked. And his smile is creepy so he kinda looks like a perv. But the funny thing is that he is a midget and he thinks he looks cute. And his nipple is showing so its funny, at least I think its funny.
