Understanding Exposure

One thing I learned about the article Cambridge in Colour is that you don't want to overexposed, or underexposed.
And there's this thing called Exposure Triangle. It has aperture, ISO, and shutter speed.
Aperture controls the area over which light can enter you camera. The shutter speed controls the duration of the exposure. And ISO controls the sensitivity of the camera's sensor to a given amount of light.  Those three things can affect something. Like aperture affects depth of filed, shutter speed affects motion blur, and ISO speed affects image noise.

I like these two pictures because they look pretty and the picture looks so clean. They both look so mysterious and concentrated on their poses. I like how their jaw lines look, and their both really pretty.

I like this picture because it looks dark and foggy. I like how it says the word "LOOK", and the person that is walking and looks all dark. It looks kind of scary, but I just like how its black and dark and stuff.

Warm-Up

I like how it focused on the leave and the water drops. It looks pretty cool because the background is all blurred out, and it just looks gray. The hand is blurred out, but you can still distinguish it. Like you can see that is a hand.

Another reason why I chose this picture is because it is black and white. If it was in color, I think it wouldn't look as cool, but it would still look nice with some color.

Weegee

Hid photos make me feel kind of scared. Well not really scared but creeped out sort of. Like some pictures are weird and others are kind of funny. For example, the murder pictures are kind of scary. I wouldn't want to take a picture of those people.

But some other pictures are kind of funny. Like whenever he took a picture of Marilyn Monroe in a distorded way. I thought it was funny because her face was all wired.

Harry Callahan

I feel like Harry took a picture of the trees because it look very calm and pretty. It looks very nice because it is reflecting and its a long path. I think its a beautiful picture with the trees ad the water. The picture is simple but at the same time is not because it has a lot of things to focus on. But when I first see it, it makes me want to look at the little pond first because thats the only thing that pops out of the rest of the picture.

The Eiffel Tower

Eiffel Tower, camera eye full.

Shutter Speed

Shutter speed is responsible for creating dramatic effects by freezing action or blurring motion. Whenever the shutter opens, it collects the light, and the shutter closes immediately stopping the light from hitting the sensor. When the shutter speed is fast, it freezes the action completely. If the shutter is slow, it creates an effect called "motion blur", whenever motion objects appear blurred along the direction of the motion.

ISO

ISO is the sensitivity of your camera available to light. Whenever you put the ISO number on low, its less sensitive to the light. But whenever you put the ISO number on high, the more sensitive it is to the light. You can change the sensitivity with the sensor. The sensor gathers light and transforms it to a image. When its really sensitive, you can capture images when its dark without having to use flash. But when its higher, the image looks ""noisy".

Picture

I choose this picture because I thought it was interesting and I liked it. It looks interesting and it looks so relaxing just thinking about being there. Another reason it that I love the season fall. Its the time whenever the leaves fall and it starts getting colder, and I love it. Thats why I liked this picture, it just makes me feel calm.

F-Stop

F-stop is basically the control of your photo. When you are taking a picture, and you focus on something,you could control if you want blur in the background, or if you want it to be not so blurry. The f-stop number is determined by the focal length of the lens divided by the diameter of the aperture. Field of view is the width and the height of the area that the lens can capture. So if you go lower it decreases the aperture, and if you go higher it increases the aperture.

                             

Depth Of Field

In this picture, the only thing focused is the leaf. And the background is all blurred out. The photographer wanted the people to just focus on the leaf whenever they first saw it. Your eye will only concentrate on the colorful, focused leaf. Since the background is all green and blurred. The only thing that pops out is the leaf.
